Here's what we're all about. Thanks for wondering!

RawHides is a custom-made leatherwear source for men and women. As such, I don't have a warehouse,
factory, store, or catalog. All my garments are "one-of-a-kind", and built by hand to my customer's specifications.
I offer guidelines, make suggestions, and give advice when asked, but a LARGE part of what makes
RawHides special is that, you, the CUSTOMER, gets to define your own vision of the IDEAL leather garment.
The photo-sample garments simply try to capture the possibilities, without making you think that that's your only option.

I've been producing custom-made clothing for over 20 years, mostly for theatre and film.

Leatherwear projects include work on Broadway for "Grease" (T-Bird jackets and embroidery),

"Saturday Night Fever" (leather jackets), "The Producers," and "Movin' Out" (denim dance jeans and leatherwear);
        leatherwear for the films
"American Sweethearts", and "An American Gangster", and wardrobe for magician
        Criss Angel's production of
Mind Freak.

For those of you who have actually read this far, you may be interested in the fact that my custom-wear
is not limited to leather. However, you won't see examples of non-leather garments because that's not what this site
is about. But on the off chance that you have a desire for something different, I can produce it!

       The Ordering Process:

...   Postal Money Order or Cleared Personal Check

Typically, once an order is made and the basic design is established, a price is agreed upon, and HALF the cost is required up-front.
An "agreement form" will be sent to you, detailing the initial order, which requires your signature before work begins.
Depending on the complexity of the garment and the customer's measurements, a "mock-up" is made in vinyl or denim and sent to the
customer so they can try it on, pin, mark, and fit it on themselves. Details of this process are included on the initial agreement form.
The mock-up is then returned to us, so we can make corrections to the pattern, and begin cutting it in leather. When complete, the
customer is notified and the garment is shipped after the remaining balance has been satisfied. Any changes in design following the
initial agreement form will require you to sign an addendum agreement form.
